The success of the learning process in students is influenced by the suitability of the teaching method with the student's own learning style. Learning styles are divided into three types, namely visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. The combination of the three types of learning styles, such as visual-auditory, visual-kinesthetic, or other combinations, can also be a student's learning style. Nowadays, many schools understand the differences in students' learning styles and try to apply appropriate learning methods so that students can learn optimally.

Based on this, Mrs. Komang Mahadewi Sandiasih, M.Psi, Psychologist, and Katrim Alifa Putrikita, M.Psi, Psychologist, from the Psychology Service Bureau (BLP) of the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Mercu Buana Yogyakarta (UMBY), became the psychologists in charge of carrying out the Learning Style Test. This activity took place for one day, on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at SD Muhammadiyah Wirobrajan 3 Yogyakarta. A total of 131 grade 1 students took the learning style test.

Mrs. Komang Mahadewi and Katrim Alifa revealed that the Learning Style Test aims to find out the type or learning style of each student, so that the learning provided can be tailored to their needs. The results of the Psychological Examination (HPP) from the Learning Style Test will be submitted to the school, which is then forwarded to the homeroom teacher and student guardian.
